The head-to-head final between the two top teams was narrowly won by the Keet team (Duncan Keet, Carol Stanton, Janne Masojada and Hennie Fick) against the Burman team (Saul Burman, Andrew Cruise, Imtiaz Kaprey and Paul Reynolds) - by a two point carry-over. If not for that, the result would have been reversed! The latter - all WCBU members - will be representing the Western Cape in the Medwin section of the Inter-provincials. The Berkowitz section will be represented by the Mutch team (Mary Mutch, Ann Murray, Zela Stern and Laureen Harris). The winner of the Swiss was the Holman team (Glen Holman, David Beinart, Rose Duff and Andre van Niekerk). Congratulations to all the winners and to all who participated. It was a very well organised tournament, with Neil Hayward as TD and Phil King on the technical side, while the catering for delicious teas and lunches also came up trumps - a highly competitive, but very convivial weekend.
