On Friday 15th March, our popular BBO charity tournament will be in aid of the Peninsula School Feeding Association (PSFA); just log in to BBO after 09h30 and you will see our tournament listed under Virtual Clubs - South Africa in the Featured Areas. After our last tournament in aid of the PFSA, the president of the association wrote "100% of this donation will be allocated towards providing two learners affected by poverty with daily nutritious breakfasts and lunches while they are at school for a year (190 days)." A special thank you to all those who played in that tournament. Now let's see if we can feed even more young children and give them a better start in life!
Incidentally if you're a Cape Town bridge player who would like to play more but feels a trifle intimidated by the expert players lurking at some of our clubs, then you could alsways try the more gentle Wednesday morning 09h00 session at Keurboom and the 19h00 Thursday evening session at the Constantiaberg Bridge Club.
You should also think about joining in the WCBU's convivial monthly Personal Trust sponsored bridge and lunch, with a complimentary glass of wine thrown in, which will take place on Sunday 24th March at the Bridge Centre in Green Point (and NOT on the 31st of March which is Easter Sunday). If you plan to play, please contact Shirley Phillips ([email protected]) so she can cater accordingly.
